Desde Vicuña al valle de rio Hurtado existe la famosa ruta Antakari. Esta ruta conecta ambos valles por el interior de la región. La verdad que está impecable, lo lento son las curvas: la falta de rectas hace que el transitarla sea lento en comparación a otras. Son casi 45 km de ruta por caminos de tierra, y mucho desierto. Desde Vicuña, a los 10 km se encuentra la Animita/gruta de Difunta Correa, una santa argentina que tiene mucho peso en este lugar. A los 18 km se encuentra el Mirador El Pangue, lugar ideal para estirar las piernas. Ya quedando 13 km a Hurtado, está el mirador 3 Cruces, donde se ve toooodo lo que hay que bajar para llegar al valle de Rio Hurtado.
