La madrugada del 12 de junio estuvo cargada de lluvia y nieve por toda la región de Coquimbo. Dicen que llovió todo lo que llueve en un año normal, sejando a la sequía descansar un tiempo.  Mientras que en La Serena cayó agua, en Pisco Elqui la lluvia se transformó en nieve.
