Desde el cerro Grande se puede ver toda la ciudad de La Serena. Se aprecia, principalmente de Alberto Arenas hacia la cordillera, el enorme augue habitacional que ha tenido en los ultimos 15 años, entre casas y edificios. Desde las alturas, patrones de casas conforman barrios y sectores, apoderándose del poco y nada ambiente rural que queda. Llegarán algun día hasta las faldas del cerro?
